Creating Next Culture:
Evolving Human Consciousness by Empowering Young Minds and Hearts for a Kinder Saner Future
We intend to provide educational programs for children, focusing on emotional intelligence, self-knowledge, self-love, mature responsibility, and compassion, while exploring the Universe Story, human biology, and fostering evolutionary kinship with all living beings.
I envision a curriculum that could allow kids to emerge from primary school understanding and loving themselves, able to empathize with others, being kinder and more related to the more than human world (animals/plants and other breathers). They would respond to everything that happens with love, courage, truth telling, and care for everyone. They will care to preserve and restore habitat, and to end the toxic/plastic pollution of our manufacturing/agricultural/medical practices, and to not participate in other future damaging nonsense like war. They would be awesomely curious and gentle about where they live and who they are. They would be listeners to the intelligence of the world, and thoughtfully choose what they do, with less busy-ness.
They would be learners, not knowers. Our youth would grow up realizing they are not separate from the rest of the world, and that "power with" others is responsible, wholesome, enjoyable, and evolutionary. They would be surprised by, fascinated by, reverent or cherishing toward this Life project here on planet Earth. Therefore, they would serve as midwives, and caretakers/trustees/stewards of the Life project on Earth. They would courageously create a life affirming economy, if possible, and abandon the extractive economy.
We believe providing education on the truth of our essential nature as humans is crucial as Natures' best hope to return to a flourishing biodiversity, and to support the continued existence and future thriving of humanity on planet Earth.

Emotional Intelligence Wisdom
Cultivating self-love and empathy for others through engaging NVC activities (scenarios, cards, props, puppets, acting, songs. and more). Emotions and needs are universal. Identifying emotions by internal sensations, facial expressions, body language, and words. Emotions signal needs. Identifying needs. Group collaboration to creatively imagine how everyone's needs can be met with the least harm.

Evolutionary universe - still unfolding. Connecting children to the universe and their role within it through storytelling, images and videos. We, and everything we see, are all made of stardust; we are inextricably inter-related. We each have a unique and precious genius. All cells/organisms have the same basic biological, environmental and relational needs. Cells communicate and cooperate chemically, electrically, and energetically. Quantum reality. Interconnectedness.
Project Vision... (Gameworld)
WHAT?
A globally distributed, coherent relational education that reconnects young children to their feelings and needs, to nature and Earth, and to truths about life, love and reality.
I will convene a consortium of creators and designers of curriculum for elementary school age children that will be pilot tested in 5 school districts with proven effectiveness in improved academic performance, less violence, greater compassion, less bullying, greater student and teacher happiness and satisfaction with their time at school. Also, we will generate a training program and funds to hire instructors to orchestrate the curriculum.
We are also developing the parallel curriculum for teachers and parents.
Eventually a marketing agency will get contracts with additional school districts, and lobby for a federal budget line item to implement the program across the nation (like Headstart.)
We will invent a name for the program (currently Self and Relationship Empowerment) that communicates clearly its value to shifting society toward kinder, less traumatic relationships between all groups (less divorce, more stability, less community violence, less war, compassion for animals, compassion for refugees/immigrants, desire to restore ecosystems, etc. )

Theologian Thomas Berry advised that humanity needs to reimagine what it means to be a mature human -- what is our human identity? What is the role of our species in the cosmos? Human behaviors will be a major determining factor on which species will continue forward on planet Earth into the future. Our lamentable sense of separation from the natural world, and a generalized human supremacy over it, coupled with heightened individualism and lack of emotional maturity, seem to be blinding humans to the irreversible harm and self-annihilation that we are irrationally perpetrating.
The curriculum will reduce the sources of trauma to kids, and empower them to heal and solve problems in community ways that cause the least harm and the most good. They would know how to establish secure relationships and lasting partnerships that facilitate their own and others' growth and unique contributions to the future flourishing of life on Earth. They would be clear about the purpose and meaning of their lives. They would be recognized as servant leaders. They would delight in their creativity.

Animals are our teachers. Earth Family: care, belonging and safety -- non harm and habitat restoration. Non-toxic ecosystems. Health. Nutrition. Movement
Self Awareness and Humanity's Role
Stages of development. Human nature. Birthrights. Spiritual being in human form. Unique and wanted dreams and gifts--meeting their genius. Family, tribe, Earthling. -- Global ecological identity. Myth of human supremacy. Thoughtware, possibilities. Choice and consequences. Values, vision. Ethical considerations of Interbeing.
Partnerships and the Planet's Future
Friendships. Teams, Family. Explicit agreements. Consent and boundaries. Conflicts are opportunities for innovation. Mate. Parenting. Co-creators. Precautionary principle. Unintended consequences. Midwifing responsibilities to self/others/Earth/ future generations. To experience the natural world as a “mode of sacred presence" primarily to be communed with in wonder, beauty and intimacy. Helping students heal and grow through supportive learning environments and practices. Emotional overwhelm + feeling disempowered leads to strategies to cope. Frozen trauma experiences self-sabotage as they try to get your attention. Fragmented parts of self need acceptance. Attachment styles. Inner Critic part. Self empathy feeds empathy and compassion for others. Preventing further unnecessary trauma. Therapy. Upgrading our identity as human beings who care for our own needs and the needs of all being met.
