Understanding humanity's role in the Universe as wise caregivers of the entire "Life Project on Earth," we act courageously to restore the mutual flourishing of humanity and planetary ecosystems and biodiversity.
Our Vision
We envision a movement of people who hold space for children, (i.e. teachers, parents, grandparents, caregivers, camp counselors, boys and girls clubs, scouting leaders, etc.), to empower kids to emerge into their teen years already understanding their human nature and loving themselves, able to empathize with others and being kinder, as well as respectfully and responsibly related to the more than human world (animals, plants and other breathers); specifically cherishing all of life.
Our children respond to everything that happens with love, courage, truth telling, and care for everyone. They care about preserving and restoring habitat, and act to end the toxic/ plastic pollution of our manufacturing/ agricultural/ medical practices, as well as, not participate in other future damaging nonsense like war.
Our children are awesomely curious and gentle about where they live and who they are. They are listeners to the intelligence of the more than human world, and thoughtfully choose what they do with authentic agency and with more self-reflection and less busy-ness.
Our youth, as adults, are learners, not knowers. They have grown up realizing they are not separate from the rest of the world, that abundance is a law of Nature, and that "power with" others is responsible, wholesome, enjoyable, and evolutionary. They choose to live according to the principles of nature and all life. They are surprised by, fascinated by, reverent and cherishing toward the whole life community here on planet Earth. Therefore, they serve as midwives, caretakers, trustees, and stewards of this Life project on Earth. They choose to abandon the extractive economy and courageously create a life-affirming economy instead.

Realigning humanity with nature and life.
Project Intentions
WHAT
An international, interdisciplinary collaboration that is intentionally and ethically steering the future evolution of human consciousness by developing an experiential interactive education for children ages 8 to 12. A globally distributed, coherent relational education, with parallel re-orientation of teachers and parents, that reconnects young children to their feelings and needs, to nature and Earth, and to truths about life, love and reality.
HOW
We will start by convening a consortium of creators and designers of curriculum for elementary school age children that will be pilot tested in 5 school districts with proven effectiveness in improved academic performance, less violence, greater compassion, less bullying, greater student and teacher happiness and satisfaction with their time at school, and less absenteeism. Also, we will generate a training program and funds to hire instructors to orchestrate the curriculum.
Eventually, a marketing agency will secure contracts with additional school districts and lobby for a federal budget line item to implement the program across the nation (like Headstart.)
We will invent a name for the program (currently Self-Discovery and Relationship Empowerment) that communicates clearly its value in shifting society toward kinder, less traumatic relationships between all groups (less community violence, less war, compassion for animals, compassion for refugees/immigrants, desire to restore ecosystems, etc.)
WHY
Theologian Thomas Berry advised that our species needs to reimagine what it means to be a mature human. What is our human identity? What is the role of our species in the cosmos? Human behaviors will be a major determining factor on which other species will continue forward on planet Earth into the future. Our lamentable sense of separation from the natural world which has resulted in a generalized human supremacy over it, coupled with heightened individualism and lack of emotional maturity, seem to be blinding humans to the irreversible harm and self-annihilation that we are irrationally perpetrating.
Our educational experiences will reduce the sources of trauma to kids, and empower them to heal and solve problems in communal ways that cause the least harm and the most good. Before reaching adulthood, our children would know how to establish secure relationships and lasting partnerships that facilitate their own and others' growth and each others unique contributions to the future flourishing of life on Earth. They would be clear about the purpose and the meaning of their lives. They would be recognized as servant leaders. They would delight in their creativity.
